There were about 170 lightning strikes in Interior Alaska on Monday, which is a lot for this late in the season. In fact, some of the cells were producing lightning til well after midnight. Here's the view from west ridge of

ReplyDeleteIt did kinda of have a "tropical" look. Earlier in the evening there was a CB to the SW that in the lower angle sunlight had that tropical feel.
